Jon M. Huntsman Sr., Chairman

Jon M. Huntsman Sr. is the Chairman of Huntsman Family Investments.  Jon M. Huntsman, Sr. is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Huntsman Corporation (NYSE:HUN), a multinational chemicals manufacturer that generates $15bn revenue and employs 16,000 associates across 30 countries.  In 2007, he co-founded the private equity firm Huntsman Gay Global Capital to focus on middle-market investments.  In recognition of his business achievements, Jon M. Huntsman, Sr. has been awarded the Kaveler Award (1994), the Othmer Award (2004), WSJ’s Innovator of the Year Award (2011) and the American Chemical Society’s Leadership Award for Lifetime Achievement (2013). Before his career in business, Jon served as Special Assistant and Staff Secretary to President Richard Nixon.

Jon M. Huntsman, Sr. has been an active philanthropist, giving over $1.4 billion to further education, research and economic development around the globe.  In 1993, he and his wife Karen established the Huntsman Cancer Institute and Hospital and as Chairman, he has played an active role in its continued development.  He was awarded the Medal of Honor (2008) by the American Cancer Institute and the Distinguished Public Service Award by the American Assn. for Cancer Research (2010).  Jon Huntsman has contributed significantly in support of educational causes and research programs at the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Utah and Utah State University.  In 2011, Forbes Magazine counted him among the 18 “most generous givers on the planet.”  He currently serves as Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Overseers of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. For his accomplishments, Jon M. Huntsman, Sr. is the recipient of 13 honorary doctorate degrees.

Jon Huntsman, characterized by Elite Traveler magazine as a “folksy patriarch” and “a cross between Mark Twain and Warren Buffet,” authored a book on corporate ethics entitled, Winners Never Cheat: Everyday Values We Learned as Children (But May Have Forgotten).  The second edition is entitled Winners Never Cheat: Even in Difficult Times and made the Wall Street Journal’s best sellers list.  His autobiography, Barefoot to Billionaire: Reflections on a Life’s Work and a Promise to Cure Cancer, was released in October 2014 to extensive acclaim.

Jon received a B.S. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from USC Marshall School of Business.

Paul Huntsman, President & CEO

Paul is the President and CEO of Huntsman Family Investments. Paul serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of American Pacific Corporation, a solid rocket propellant manufacturer, and GTA TeleGuam, a quad-play telecommunications provider in Guam. He is also the Publisher and Owner of the Salt Lake Tribune Newspaper.

Prior to Huntsman Family Investments, Paul Huntsman served as the Senior Vice President at Huntsman Gay Global Capital and Vice President at Huntsman Corporation.  He started his professional career working as a capital markets and investment banking professional at Deutsche Bank.  Currently, Paul Huntsman sits on the Board of University of Pennsylvania’s Huntsman Program. Previously, he served on the Boards of Huntsman Corporation and Citadel Plastics.

Paul received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Utah before attaining an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Benjamin Wu, Partner

Benjamin is a Partner at Huntsman Family Investments.  Benjamin serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of American Pacific Corporation, a solid rocket propellant manufacturer, and GTA TeleGuam, a quad-play telecommunications provider in Guam.  He is also the CFO of the Salt Lake Tribune Newspaper and the CEO and Founder of B88 Financial Group.

Prior to Huntsman Family Investments, Benjamin Wu worked as an investment professional at RedBird Capital Partners and HGGC.  He also formerly worked at Barclays Capital as an investment banking professional.  Benjamin also has experience investing in Asia and Europe.

Benjamin was recently named to the 2017 Forbes 30 Under 30 list.

Benjamin received a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University.

Jon Huntsman Jr.

Jon is a Senior Adviser at Huntsman Family Investments.  In addition to HFI, he is currently nominated to become United States Ambassador to Russia, pending Senate confirmation.  He is also Chairman of the Huntsman Cancer Institute and the Atlantic Council as well as serves on the boards of Chevron Corporation, Caterpillar, Inc., Ford Motor Company, Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc., National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, No Labels, Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Library, and the U.S. Naval Academy Foundation.

Previously, Jon Huntsman Jr. served as the 16th Governor of Utah from 2005 to 2009, U.S. Ambassador to Singapore from 1992 to 1993, and U.S. Ambassador to China from 2009 to 2011.  He is also a former candidate for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.  Prior to his work in public service, Jon began his career working in various capacities for Huntsman Corporation, where he ultimately advanced to the role of CEO.

Jon received a B.A. in International Politics from the University of Pennsylvania.


 

David Huntsman

David is a Senior Adviser at Huntsman Family Investments.  He is currently serving as Mission President for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of the Washington D.C. South Mission. 

Prior to his volunteer service, David Huntsman was President and CEO of the Huntsman Cancer Foundation as well as President of the Huntsman Foundation. Since its creation in 2007, he was the CEO and president of Huntsman Springs, a real estate development and golf course community located in Driggs, Idaho.  He began his professional career filling various positions within Huntsman Corporation.  Previously, David was Vice Chairman of Huntsman Corporation and held seats on the boards of University of Utah Board of Trustees, the Pioneer Theatre Company, and the University of Utah Hospitals.

David received a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania.


David Parkin

David is a Senior Adviser at Huntsman Family Investments.  In addition to his advisory role at HFI, he is a Partner and Co-Founder at Tower Arch Capital, an investment firm located in Draper, Utah.  He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Future Infrastructure, Pathline Emerge, and Enertech Resources.

Previously, David was a partner at Palo Alto-based investment firm Huntsman Gay Global Capital.  He began his career at Huntsman Corporation where he spent 15 years, advancing to Vice President of Global Intermediates for the Performance Products.  In prior roles, David served on the boards of directors of Huntsman Corporation, Turner Bros, Grand Isle Shipyard, T&D Solutions, Associated Diversified Services, and Citadel Plastics.

David received a B.A. in Finance from the University of Utah.
